Product details

What is an invention? And what does invention mean when it must be that of another? Under this guiding question, Jacques Derrida gathered texts that accompanied his books: the law of a discontinuous theory or the discrete course of the series. Texts follow one another, are interconnected or correspond with each other, despite the visible differences in motives and themes. Following the volume "Psyche. Inventions of the Other I," which also included the titular essay, the second part of the texts from Psyché, which have not yet been translated into German, is now available: "Interventions de l'autre" from 1987. Included are texts on psychoanalysis, racism and apartheid, the relationship between architecture and writing, as well as aphorisms on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," along with Derrida's fundamental statements on the understanding of deconstruction in his letter to a Japanese friend.
