The name of the Viennese Erwin Böhm represents a reorientation of elderly care in Europe. In the mid-1980s, he began with the unorthodox call: "Make your own bed, Grandma!" Today, Böhm's clear ideas have gained acceptance across Europe. His books are considered standard literature in schools of elderly and nursing care.
