The fifth annual volume of the series "Clinical Social Work" defines the conditions and characteristics of an independent psychosocial diagnosis: dialogical, clear, reliable, professional. The necessity of an independent diagnosis in social work is no longer questioned. The focus is on capturing individual resources, existing limitations, and burdens, always against the backdrop of the prevailing social and economic structures. Psychosocial diagnosis places the self-interpretation patterns of those affected on equal footing with the problem definitions of psychosocial practitioners.
