Product details

The feeling of helplessness is a normal and everyday experience for all people. However, this feeling can intensify after stressful situations to the point where the affected person feels unable to cope with even the simplest demands of daily life. As a result, simple tasks appear to the individual as insurmountable barriers, leading them to ruminate and withdraw. This so-called learned helplessness arises from repeated experiences of uncontrollability and failure. The affected person has learned that all their efforts to overcome the uncontrollable situation do not lead to the desired outcome. Based on this expectation, they respond with helplessness and may experience depressive moods. This study analyzes the psychological phenomenon of learned helplessness and provides the reader with insight into it.
