Dying in inpatient care facilities

Product details
Around 2.4 million people in Germany require care, and by 2030, this number is expected to rise to approximately 3.5 million. The trend towards urbanization, smaller families, and demographic changes indicate that a large portion of the German population will die in care facilities in the future; currently, this figure is about 40%. This raises questions: What level of care and support quality for the dying is currently being achieved there? Along which target criteria and with what methods should this be further developed? Answers are provided by the "Giessen Study on End-of-Life Conditions in Residential Care Facilities," which surveyed staff from various facilities of different sizes and sponsorships across numerous federal states. In addition, distinguished researchers and practitioners describe the conditions in residential care facilities.
