Product details
The present book summarizes the influence of infant and toddler researcher Daniel Stern on various psychotherapeutic methods such as psychoanalysis, analytical body psychotherapy, person-centered psychotherapy, bioenergetic analysis, and dance therapy. According to their individual focus, the authors concentrate on different ideas and concepts of Daniel Stern. What they share is an increased attention to nonverbal implicit processes in the psychotherapeutic interaction. Only a small part of what we experience is fully accessible to consciousness and verbal expression. The nonverbal domain accounts for up to 90 percent of what occurs in communicative exchanges between people. This is particularly relevant to the psychotherapeutic process. The method of video-supported observation.
