Product details
The "Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapy" (KIP) is a depth-psychological psychotherapy method that employs guided fantasy journeys, known as imaginations. Based on a feminist critique of the standard motifs of KIP regarding sexuality and the resulting reproduction of traditional gender constructions, Traude Ebermann examines the influence of the new motif "The Shell" on the representations of the sexual and one's own sexuality during imagination and in the transference-countertransference process. The study was able to stimulate an expanded understanding of sexuality. Introjects of male-connoted sexuality in women and female-connoted sexuality in men were demonstrated. The Freudian drive concept of an underlying psychological bisexuality of the genders is also discussed.
