Dance and movement therapy allow primarily female patients suffering from anorexia and other eating disorders to correct their distorted body image and, through movement, dance, and expressive arts, to return to a changed experience of their bodies and a healthy self-image. In this book, Olga Khvostova and Marc Willmann conduct a systematic examination of the potential of movement and dance therapy for the therapeutic treatment of anorexia for the first time, specifically targeting psychotherapists, psychiatrists, special educators, and sports scientists.
