Puberty
German, Willem Heuves, 2010Product details
Puberty as a developmental phase is met with relatively little understanding. Especially those aged eleven to fifteen struggle with adults. The reverse is also true: many adolescents are closed off and share little about what excites and moves them. And when they do, it's often the least with their parents. Heuves sensitively illustrates the turbulent developments of this age group and conveys to adults how they can navigate this process together with their growing children. For parents, their children's puberty is a significant life phase in which many educational tasks come to an end. Most parents understand that their children are growing up and becoming independent, and they look forward to it. Independence does not begin on the day the child turns eighteen, but is a process that hopefully started much earlier.
