Summary:
Dr. Eitan Green is a good man. He saves lives. But when he drives his SUV down a lonely, moonlit road after an exhausting shift at the hospital, he hits someone. When he realizes that the man, an African migrant, cannot be saved, he flees the scene. This decision changes everything. For the dead man's wife knows what has happened. And when she knocks on Eitan's door the next day, tall and beautiful, with his wallet in hand, he discovers that her price is not money. It is something entirely different, something that will shake Eitan's secure life and lead him into a world full of secrets and lies he could never have imagined. "Waking Lions" is a gripping, tension-filled, and morally devastating drama about guilt and survival, shame and desire. It illuminates the darkness within us all and asks: What would we do? What are we capable of?
