In the heart of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park stands the Schlern, an impressive mountain range that offers numerous hiking opportunities. "Gern zum Schlern" presents 40 hiking suggestions, ranging from the Langkofel group through the Seiser Alm and up to the Schlern, extending to the Rosengarten and the Latemar massif. The book features walks lasting from one to two hours, as well as extensive day tours. Most of these are circular hikes with the same starting and ending points, which are also accessible by public transport. Via ferratas have been deliberately excluded. All tours are meticulously planned and include not only precise route descriptions with realistic walking times but also detailed map excerpts and aerial photographs, along with a summary of all important tour information, details on specific difficulties, and tips for places to eat.
