For the eighth time, the Yearbook Quality of Media Switzerland Suisse Svizzera will be published in 2017. Since its first edition in 2010, the editors have provided annual current figures on the media categories of print, online/social media, radio, and TV. The research group at the University of Zurich examines not only the development of content quality but also usage trends and the financial basis of information media. Additionally, the scientists contextualize trends and new phenomena, such as the ongoing media concentration or the significance of social media for information media, within a larger framework. The studies published alongside the yearbook this year emphasize areas such as media diversity, public service, integration of language regions, and political communication. The in-depth analyses provide a foundation beyond the yearbook itself.
