The two Chur architects Dieter Jüngling and Andreas Hagmann explore the diverse qualities and atmospheres of a location with each new construction task, as well as the specifics of the building assignment itself. They transform this raw material into ever-new and independent architectural statements. Their persistent search often leads them to surprising beauties that lie more in the necessities of things than in the virtuoso mastery of a preconceived, established design language. The Viennese architect and publicist Walter Zschokke, who has been closely following the Swiss architecture scene for years, describes in engaging building analyses the seven presented structures from recent years. This marks the first time that the already extensive work of the young architects finds its own representation.
