Yes, individually scanned pages can be merged into a single document. This can be done using the supplied software or other document management tools that allow files to be merged. The software supplied with the Brother DSmobile DS-640 supports functions such as scanning to a file or image format, making it easier to combine pages.

Unfortunately I cannot answer this question. I use the scanner when I'm on the boat with my laptop (MacBook), but I scan the documents and save them to the memory card. I tried to scan directly from the laptop years ago, but the programme (DSmobileCapture) from Brother is pretty stupid, so I never used it.

Hello, yes I have been using it for 2 years with Microsoft, without any problems. You can use your own software or your previous scanner software. One battery charge with wifi is enough for about 100-120 double-sided copies, you can also scan with cable, the battery charges up.

Hello Anonymous The battery can be replaced in any case, see the Quick Start Guide: https://download.brother.com/welcome/doc003211/cv_ds820w_ger_qsg_e.pdf I cannot currently find a type designation for the battery. Presumably it is a spare part and can be obtained from specialist dealers (Brother partners). Other sources (if type is correct): https://www.google.ch/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiFsaOB74jgAhXEJlAKHfMQB9MQFjAAegQICRAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.de%2FBrother-Li-Ion-Battery-MDS2E-LD0937001%2Fdp%2FB07BNHF85K&usg=AOvVaw2MSObYQp52FTB5VnmBuLxZ (For price orientation).
