The Surgical Curriculum presents the teaching and learning content of dental surgery as well as oral, maxillofacial, and facial surgery in three volumes and serves as a foundational work for imparting knowledge in these two fields. In addition to classical surgical procedures, new techniques and materials are also addressed. A larger chapter is dedicated to dental implantology. The fundamental principles of advanced surgical techniques, such as sinus lifts or alveolar distraction, are also described. Furthermore, general medical topics of particular importance for dental therapy are part of the curriculum. All content has been compiled based on the latest knowledge and, where possible, according to evidence-based principles. Simple surgical sketches provide visual assistance in carrying out one's own surgical activities.
