Willy Wolff, at over 80 years old, has his residence and workplace in two different countries: as a rabbi, he works in Northern Germany and writes for the London Times. He is a British citizen with German roots and delivers his sermons in Russian. Additionally, he loves yoga, Christmas carols, and horse betting. For more than three years, director Britta Wauer followed the state rabbi of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with a camera. In numerous conversations, Willy Wolff reflects on his eventful life, recounting his childhood in Berlin and Amsterdam, his career as a political journalist in England, and his lifelong desire to become a rabbi.
