Radical innovations, particularly in the transition to electromobility, pose significant challenges for science and industry. Consistent and coordinated efforts at the interfaces of business and engineering research are needed to implement them. In June 2013, a discussion was held in Duisburg regarding the necessary innovations, how they can be managed, and what mobility strategies are anticipated. The conference proceedings present the contributions from the 5th Science Forum on Mobility at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
