Guido Wandrey is a native of Hanover and has been passionately drawing since early childhood. He studied graphic design in Hanover and works as a freelance illustrator and visual artist. With many years of experience in the advertising industry and various artistic styles, his main focus since 1997 has been illustrating children's books. Numerous picture books, some of which have achieved international success, are published under his name by renowned publishers. He is particularly known for his so-called "Wimmelbilderbücher" (picture books with detailed illustrations). In addition to his artistic work, Guido Wandrey is involved with Renaissance music on historical string instruments such as the lute. He is married and lives with his wife and two male cats in North Frisia by the North Sea.

Susanne Gernhäuser, born in 1966 in Nuremberg, studied history and German studies at the University of Stuttgart. During her studies, she worked at the Historical Institute and published several essays while also working for a school book publisher. Later, she was responsible as an editor for the regional book program of a Stuttgart publisher. Since the birth of her two sons, she has been working as a freelance editor for various publishers and has written numerous books for Ravensburger Book Publishing. She lives near Lake Constance.
