Yet everything is in a state of dissolution: the club falls apart, Maga disappears, and Oliveira is exiled from the country. Back in Buenos Aires, he imagines his lost Maga in the wife of an old friend. He becomes increasingly entangled in his desires, which gradually take on delusional qualities.
