This book tells the success story of an African country where 25 years ago a cruel tribal war was still raging - a success story written by Rwanda's women. Only two decades ago, they were not allowed to open a bank account or speak in public. Today, the country has more women in parliament than any other country in the world, and more than half of its businesses are owned by women. Without this express emancipation, Rwanda's rapid economic growth would not have been possible. The economic development is impressive, but even more impressive are the people behind it.
