In these works, the author explores the position of humans in the cosmos, viewing natural science as the foundation of ethics. Seneca addresses the following topics: fire phenomena in the sky, lightning and thunder, water on and in the earth, specifically the Nile, clouds, winds, earthquakes, and comets. The 'Natural Questions' reflect the knowledge of ancient natural philosophers and Seneca's own perspective in the discussions of his time.
