Film architecture and architecture in film are two areas that are usually studied separately: as production and cinema or motif history. However, film and architecture share numerous aesthetic issues, such as the perspective of space, the play with views and sights, and the delineation of private and public places. The realization that spaces in film, like in architecture, are always constituted in the viewer's gaze and create perspectives that are connected to an imaginary whole is just two of the aspects that have led architects and filmmakers to reference each other repeatedly since the 1920s. The relationship itself, however, has rarely been the subject of study. The volume "Repurposings" therefore sheds light on this blind spot in film studies, architectural history, and cultural studies. The contributions in this volume come from R. Bellour, C.
