We are closest to the Indian healing plant therapies, whether through medicine or shamanic healing practices, and therefore find them easiest to understand. This is partly because our European phytotherapy has drawn many inspirations from the New World since Columbus' time, and partly because many great and proven Indian medicinal plants also grow in our region and are therefore easy to obtain. We can thus easily utilize ancient Indian healing knowledge. This book conveys this knowledge and the holistic philosophy of the indigenous peoples of North, Central, and South America.
