Product details
Reinhard Höhn (1904-2000) was at one time one of the most prominent management thinkers of the young Federal Republic of Germany and arguably the most controversial among them. In the 1960s, his leadership theory, known as the Harzburger Model, shaped the landscape of West German companies. Höhn received much praise for his cooperative approach, while critics saw his work as a continuation of the community ideology of the National Socialists. Before 1945, Reinhard Höhn was one of the central figures of a young, radical generation of state and constitutional lawyers who worked on behalf of the Nazi regime to swiftly eliminate old legal and constitutional norms. Alexander O. Müller examines this tension by reconstructing Höhn's life, his most important political milestones, and, with a focus on the foundations of the Harzburger Model, also his intellectual development.
