What are values and what theories and models exist for value education? What impact does the change in values have on education? How can parents successfully convey values? What contribution can schools make to value transmission? This book provides an overview of the current scientific state of value education in the home and school. The focus is on the question of how values are conveyed. Connections between parenting styles, interaction and attachment behaviors, role modeling, school climate, etc., are presented in an understandable way. Additionally, recent American studies that have been scarcely referenced in German-speaking literature are also taken into account.
