The topic of religion and violence poses a challenge for society and schools. This volume for religious education in vocational schools provides practical assistance for a fundamental engagement of students with this focus; thus, they specifically and differentiatedly train their judgment competence. Both classical topics - Crusades and violence in the Bible - and new topics - peacemakers, right-wing extremism, education and violence, as well as nonviolence in the Quran - are elaborated. All modules are designed by experienced teachers. Each module begins with a requirement situation and offers various materials with tasks at four levels. This ensures differentiated work within the classroom.
