In 2015, the Italian artist Igort travels to Tokyo for an exhibition of his works. During this visit, he realizes once again that the city is changing rapidly, and the places where he once felt at home no longer exist. Why can't he accept the relentless transformation of the city? With this question in mind, inspired by the great haiku poet Matsuo Basho, he embarks on a journey without a destination. He lets himself drift and gradually understands: those who get lost in unfamiliar areas can access spaces of a deeply hidden self. In the second volume of his "Reports from Japan," Igort once again immerses himself in Japanese cultural history: with grand, lush images, he documents his journey, recounts historical events, explores social phenomena, and engages with Japanese mythology, poetry, and philosophy.
