It begins with a cheerful coffee gathering, to which the young lady has invited her crush. Cakes and hot chocolate are served, and it promises to be an enjoyable rendezvous. However, the idyllic scene turns into sheer horror when thick purple drops fall from the ceiling, threatening to bring everything crashing down. In the last moment, the two escape into the daylight, only to realize that it wasn't a house or a cave they fled from - behind them lies a girl, lifeless in the grass, much larger than themselves. A series of other small creatures emerge from the dead body, and they all must now navigate a threatening nature together. "Beyond" revolves around the abrupt shift between joy, compassion, and cruelty.
