In practice, the tasks in Requirements Engineering have become increasingly complex. To ensure a high level of knowledge and competence among Requirements Engineers, the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB) has developed a standardized qualification known as Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE). This certification defines the practical skills of a Requirements Engineer at various educational levels. This book is designed for self-study and covers the curriculum for the Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level exam, as defined by IREB. The 2nd edition has been thoroughly revised and is aligned with the IREB curriculum version 2.2. Additionally, some minor corrections from the 1st edition have been incorporated.
