Anton Lutz is considered one of the most important artistic figures of the 20th century in Upper Austria. His extensive body of work is now finally honored with a comprehensive, richly illustrated monograph that showcases his artistic development as well as numerous previously unknown paintings and graphics. Throughout his long life (1894-1992), the high quality of his works, and his role as a founding member of the artists' association MAERZ and as a long-time president of the Upper Austrian Art Association, he significantly influenced the cultural life of his region like few other artists.
