Henriette Lauber looks back on a creative and busy life. As an editor of feature films, she immersed herself in exciting worlds and was able to work alongside a beloved man. But that was a long time ago, and now she lives reclusive and largely isolated in a small apartment in the city center. All her love and longing are directed towards her godson from Western Sahara. After a fainting spell, she meets her young neighbor Linda, who begins to care for Henriette and seek her company.
