Product details
Fritzi, born into a Jewish Viennese family before the war, grew up with visits to the Prater and first loves. As a young woman, she flees Nazi persecution to England. She marries Theo, returns to Vienna, and is a lively, warm-hearted mother to her daughter Lea. Yet sometimes, Fritzi cannot get out of bed due to nameless sorrow. Later, it seems that her daughter Lea's life is also successful, filled with marriage, children, grandchildren, and a career. However, she too is haunted by bad dreams and family memories. As more and more people flee from war and terror in Syria and Afghanistan to Vienna, Lea is confronted with her helplessness, threatening to unravel her seemingly successful life.
