Revelation and structure
German, Matthias Turk, 1999Product details
The presented structural theology of revelation is based on the structural ontology of Heinrich Rombach, for whom the current global situation is characterized by a shift from a rigid system to a living structure. It represents a fundamentally new approach to theological thinking that understands the revelation of God through the lens of its genesis. By examining the most important modern revelation theologies (in the context of Vatican I, Barth, Guardini, Balthasar, Rahner, Pannenberg, Vatican II), the common emergence of the structure of God's revelation can be traced. In various theological drafts where structural thinking has already been applied (Cusanus, Mieth, Hemmerle), the mutual enrichment of revelation theology and structural ontology is demonstrated.
