How I Felt Christine Birkle von Hut up in Berlin created an extraordinary fashion label. Lightweight and finest garments, made using a specially developed felting technique, combined with silk, satin, and the finest merino wool without seams, represent an exceptional phenomenon in the fashion world. Her label Hut up has gained recognition beyond the borders of Europe, reaching as far as Japan. Her long-standing collaboration with choreographer Sasha Waltz for costume design, for example in the works Matsukaze, Impromptus, Dido and Aeneas, or Medea, showcases her immense creativity, which remained unbroken until her death.
