For the first time in human history, robots are taking on tasks that were previously reserved for the human mind. Within the next two decades, practically all higher professions will be performed by robots: doctors, lawyers, journalists, controllers, managers, to name just a few. As a society, we have not yet fully understood the profound impact this will have on our economic life. This book argues that universal basic income is not a solution, but rather a trick by the super-rich to pacify the masses. The basic income approach is fundamentally flawed because it attempts to solve a problem of tomorrow with the means of yesterday. To steer the effects of digitalization in a positive direction, we must harness the opportunities that digitalization offers. This book presents a concrete proposal on how to do that.
