Politicians can present themselves as approachable individuals in personality talk shows and appeal to a broad audience, including those who are not particularly interested in politics or education. However, such media appearances also carry risks. Unpredictable situations can arise during interactions between the host, the editorial team, guests, and the studio audience, and the media staging through camera work, image direction, and video inserts assigns its own meanings to the events. The study reconstructs this complex logic through program analyses and empirical field research, including social science interviews with politicians, media actors, and advisors.
