This manual provides expert knowledge on the theory and practice of conducting a motivating brief intervention with adolescents following alcohol intoxication, aimed at promoting low-risk alcohol use. Enriched with examples and tips for handling difficult conversation situations, users receive practical guidance for carrying out a theory-based and evaluated motivating patient discussion, a guide for a parent conversation, as well as all relevant materials for implementation. The intervention was developed and evaluated as part of a research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and is based on the bridge conversation of the alcohol prevention program "HaLT - Hard at the Limit.".
