Marc Adrian (1930-2008) created a diverse body of work over nearly six decades that can withstand any comparison due to its complexity and high quality. He studied under Fritz Wotruba and sought out movement as his major artistic theme, which accompanied him across all art forms. He worked on wobble stones, jump perspectives, mobiles, and reverse glass images with tipping effects. His early engagement with movement led to his first film works in the 1950s, which are considered pioneering achievements of Austrian abstract film. Subsequently, Marc Adrian embraced the new medium of computer imagery to create text images as compositions generated by chance. In literature, he found inspiration from Kurt Klinger and soon connected with the members of the "Art Club." His studio became the founding place of "Exil.".
