Product details

In the contemporary art scene, Lisa Huber occupies an extraordinary position. Over the past three decades, she has developed an extensive body of work that fundamentally relies on the material of paper, focusing primarily on various cutting and graphic techniques. Additionally, she has created works for public spaces in glass and textiles—such as church windows, steles, and Lenten hangings—as well as metal sculptures. Thematically, the artist engages deeply with psalms, the writings of the Old and New Testaments, and medieval poetry, such as that of Sebastian Brant, along with religious and secular literature. From this foundation, a diverse range of series emerges. The different cycles of work arise from the changing themes, each addressed in narrative sequences of images.
