Tomislav Perko was very successful as a stock trader until he lost everything during the financial crisis of 2008. Completely broke, he decided to fundamentally change his life: he wanted to escape the daily grind, see the world from a different perspective, meet new people, and experience adventures—all on a budget of less than 10 euros a day. But is it even possible to travel the world with almost no money? Is this way of traveling safe? How can one earn money while traveling? These were the questions that Tomislav Perko was repeatedly asked. Since he couldn't answer them in just a few sentences, he wrote down his story. He started hitchhiking through Eastern Europe from Zagreb, followed by two tours across Northern and Southern Europe, organized a hitchhiking race to Istanbul, and eventually made his way to Bangladesh.
