This volume from our series on the Berlin U-Bahn lines tells the story of the current U3 line, which runs from Warschauer Brücke through Nollendorfplatz and Wittenbergplatz towards Krumme Lanke, thus connecting City-West with Wilmersdorf and Dahlem in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. It was developed between 1913 and 1930 as an additional branch of the small-profile network, but it has only been designated "U3" since 2004.
