Glenn Gould was famous for his obsessions: the scarves, sweaters, and mittens he wore even on hot summer days, his deep fear of germs and illnesses, the quirky pygmy chair he took with him on all his travels around the world, or his sudden withdrawal from the stage at the height of his career. But perhaps Gould's greatest obsession was with a particular piano, a Steinway concert grand known as CD 318.
