Luck seems to have finally smiled on Frederick Hepton when he unexpectedly receives the vacant position of lighthouse keeper. For a very good salary, all he has to do is turn on the beacon every evening. Out on a nameless island off the southern coast of Newfoundland. The fact that he is all alone there does not bother the loner at all. But soon he must realize that inexplicable things are happening on the barren rock. And even worse: nameless terrors in the water are just waiting to crawl ashore. Especially on new moon nights….
