Rondo 1/2 is a revised edition of the music courses Rondo 1 and 2. It offers a wide range of songs, rhythm pieces, dances, and other practice-oriented, creativity-enhancing tasks. In addition to classic themes such as "Seasons," "Celebrating Festivals," and "Animals," songs and dances from foreign regions and countries have also been included, with interdisciplinary connections made in many areas (e.g., to German, art, and social studies). Great emphasis has been placed on active music-making within the classroom through: group singing, accompanying songs with body and rhythm instruments, initial steps in recorder playing, imitating sounds and noises, as well as experimenting and improvising with instruments and objects. Another focus is the introduction of note values using syllables and graphic notation. Various dance choreographies are also included.
