To make the values of Tibetan medicine accessible to a wider audience, the School of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology in Dharamsala has undertaken various initiatives. In recent years, this has led to the translation of the first two tantras of the Gyud Shi into English. The Gyud Shi is undoubtedly the most significant text of Tibetan medicine. Since the 12th century, it has served as a foundational text in the training of Tibetan physicians and is still memorized today. Dr. Florian Ploberger has been tasked by Dr. Dawa, the director of Men-Tsee-Khang, with publishing this important work in German.
