A fascinating hero, a vast panorama. But then Konstanty joins the resistance. Well disguised and speaking flawless German, he dares to undertake increasingly risky actions and discovers a frighteningly different side of himself. A conspiratorial journey with the inscrutable noblewoman Dzidzia takes him through a hellish landscape of devastation to the still intact Budapest. The journey becomes a test for Konstanty to see if he can escape the doom that has engulfed Warsaw and threatens to drag him down as well.
