The Brooklyn Revue
German, Paul Oyster, 2012Product details
Brooklyn - A Literary Love Letter. Nathan is 59 and a retired insurance agent. He has lost his wife through divorce, undergone therapy for lung cancer, and moved from New Jersey to Brooklyn to "wait for death." One day, he meets his nephew Tom, whom he hasn't seen in years. Tom seems to have fallen on hard times. He works at a peculiar antique shop run by a man named Brightman. Nathan also starts spending more time in the shop. Eventually, Tom and Brightman tell him about their grand plan involving a forged manuscript by a famous writer and a gullible millionaire... "An elegy for the days of innocence... a wonderfully bittersweet novel.".
