In a small village in the Eifel region, Helena grows up in a large farming family. Engaged in work from an early age, she can imagine nothing else but becoming a farmer herself. Despite all obstacles, she achieves her goal: to undergo the same training as a man. Through her early marriage, she becomes a farmer on a large estate in the Hunsrück, where life presents her with many challenges. Yet, with humor and determination, she continually manages to start anew.
