Sometimes you will feel lonely and homesick. Let the stars at night and the sun during the day be messengers of our thoughts and our love. Prague, just before the outbreak of World War II. Hitler's campaign against Jews and dissenters is taking on increasingly threatening forms. To ensure their safety, 669 Jewish children are transported from Prague across the German Reich to Great Britain. They leave everything behind: their lives as they knew them, their parents, and friends. After the war, they return to their homeland only to find that few of their parents survived the Holocaust. It is not until 50 years later that the secret is revealed of who was responsible for their rescue: the Briton Nicholas Winton.
