As a cross-border long-distance hiking trail between Austria and South Tyrol, the Tyrolean High Trail reconnects what the First World War once separated. Starting from the popular Zillertal with its impressive glacier views, the trail heads towards the Brenner Pass and into the Pflerschtal valley in South Tyrol. With each additional pass, hikers encounter new, diverse valleys and mountain landscapes, ultimately arriving in sunny Merano to enjoy the Italian flair. From the beloved Zillertal to the gourmet paradise of South Tyrol, with additional variants and summit tours, including nine peaks over three thousand meters.
